Details: Closed cell vinyl/nitrile foam tape with single-sided acrylic adhesive conforming to Boeing Material Specification BMS 8-283 Type I for aircraft sealing and dampening applications. This black foam tape meets FAR 25.853(a) vertical burn requirements and provides vibration dampening, environmental sealing, and gasketing functions in commercial and military aircraft interiors and structural assemblies. The closed cell foam structure offers excellent compression resistance and moisture barrier properties while maintaining flexibility across operational temperature ranges. Supplied in quarter-inch by quarter-inch cross-section rolled in fifty-foot lengths for installation in gaps, joints, and interfaces requiring flame-resistant sealing material.
